          restoring old ww2 color slides

          evening guys.

sorry im so busy these days and cant show you all the cool color slides I get.

Here is a nice one that came in yesterday. It was for sale online for way too much money but then after some time resting... the seller let me have it for a fair price.

I just scanned it with my epson v700 and worked with photoshop for 2 hours.
Sometimes I love just restoring these old historical images late at night... drink a nice cup of irish lyons tea and see the details and colours come back alive after ...80 years...

years and years of collecting ww2 slides and I still absolutely love my hobby

                  evening.

Here are some new scans of old color slides in my collection.
These came from a large 14th panzer division slide collection I bought many years ago.

Now they have been correctly scanned, cleaned and researched and added onto my photo archive.

                  Here are some nice ones

                    Hi guys.
I got a small but nice little group of color slides last week in the post. A german infantry unit on their way to the Russian front. The photographer just jumped out at each train station and took a few snaps.
The colours of the slides are not great but I think I got a lot back out of them with some digital restoration.

Also cool... i never noticed but the guy standing in the middle of the scene where the soldiers are washing under the water tank, the guy is wearing camo shorts...
I love those little cool surprises when the slides are cleaned up

                      Happy New Year guys

The little pixpast team was quite recently but we were able to put our hands on another 400+ war time color slides coming up to the end of 2017.

It takes a long time to scan, research and update the new material plus buckets of older material, but I wanted to share a few cool shots that are coming there way in the next weeks...

                      Enjoy.

                            Number plate

                            Hello Ian,

Is the number plate of the Sd.Kfz. 263 armoured car readable?

This would be interresting for me.

                            Regards,
                            Holger.
