on another note. can anyone please help me ID this unit ?

All I know is that it was taken in Russia or.. the eastern front 1941 and a Wehrmacht unit..

I checked ww2daybyday and couldnt find a good fit...

Any help would be super.

I got some really nice pre war color slides from the west german city of Ulm recently. Here is a nice example. Sadly this old beautiful city was very badly damaged during the war.
