funny thing... 5 years ago I purchased from a photo collector in Meissen Germany this slide... The seller sent me the box empty with no slide inside... never got my cash back out of that deal...

But 5 years later I purchased from another collector in northern Germany a box of mixed civilian and military slides and I was amazed to find an.. almost identical photo slide showing the same German war camera man. Sadly this one did not show the camera around his chest but better than nothing...

      Have a lovely weekend guys.

It looks like you have two Japanese! Front left looks like typical Japanese field grade officer uniform and shoulder cords. Military attaché?

Sure we’ve got Japanese, as W.Unland pointed out. In the top photo, the first from left is Hungarian, the third from right appears to be a Red Army general Officer wearing the uniform introduced in 1935 with relevant collar patches and cuff rank insignia (the tunic was called “French” pattern). The bottom photo shows Bulgarians, the fourth from left in the top photo may be Bulgarian as well.

Super cool Ian! that is some early Bonnieville action. The oldest color film I have had was taken in 52'
