Color War Slides from Ian

    thank you guys for the extra information.
    When I have time to add these images onto my online archive I try and add in as much extra interesting related information as possible

    on another note... i just landed yesterday evening my next color slide collection.. yippee 450 color slides german army southern front russia.. also greece.. france.. prague.. vienna..... not a monster technical collection but a real nice complete all rounder will post some tasty samples at the weekend !

      here is the first data i could find from the new collection.

      The photographer was an Austrian medical doctor in the Wehrmacht.

      Can anyone help me with finding his unit ?

        That sounds very promising :
        The photo of the grave is from a soldier of Schützen-Rgt. 304, formed in autumn 1940 in WK XVII (Wien).

        It was subordinated to 2. Pz.Div. also located in that area and that unit would fit to the other locations you mentioned :

        Would be nice to see more of that very interesting unit !

                here are 3 nice doctor color slides that came in a big 350+ slide collection a few months ago. I really like the one with the man holding the painting of the main doctor

                  here are my first scans from my new 2nd panzer division color slide collection

                  Schützen-Rgt. 304, formed in autumn 1940 in WK XVII (Wien)
                  2nd Panzer Division.

                  Most of the slides are shot in Greece 1941.

                      I'll attach a map of the way of 2. Pz.Div. in Greece.
                      Perhaps its useful to identify some places.
