Something is up! I sold a M-35 Minty Luft Helmet on Estand a couple weeks ago, maybe 3. Got alot of pm`s, but the first came from a Anthony? So I responded to him, and Ken N replied. Never thought about it until now. So, any real minty Luft helmets sell on his sight? The one I sold him had a broken chin strap. Should still be on estand, unless it has been removed. I will see if I kept any of the pms.
Regards,
Gary

The next time i saw it was sometime later on Ken's site. Although i knew the liner had been added i didn't know whether Ken had done this or whether he aquired the helmet this way. From the latest developments though you only have to add 2 and 2 together.
By the way Cantara ,not sure what " teh " means in your quote
Greg
I just misspelled "the" ..
Thanks C

Ken told the same story as stated in the thread when I asked after the helmet reappeared on his site with the added information.<o></o>
So at least the collecter he got it from initially must have told a lie….<o></o>

I think this is bad on many levels.
He has sold so many helmets to members here and they have circulated this forum (sometimes many times) over the years. It is a little disheartening...Fortunately for me, his prices were too high for me!
Evidently, based on some of the other replies, this is not as isolated a case as we would want to believe.
That he was generally trusted, is also upsetting. He has made off with a good amount of money from many members here. With him not answering, I think it is safe to assume that he knowingly sold a parted up helmet.
I remember him posting, some time ago, a picture of a table loaded with helmets. They were stacked up some 4 or 5 helmets high or better (if I remember correctly) and somewhere in number around 30. In hindsight, that should have been a red flag. Such disregard for the helmets (which may well have been taken apart and reworked) may not have mattered.
Finally, I know he works closely with Kelly Hicks. I hope that this is not a tainted partnership...I am not accusing Mr. Hicks of any wrongdoing, because I do not know and have seen no proof, but since they run a business togther, it is something that I would have to consider in any future business dealings. Mr. Hicks perhaps should cut ties with him.
I personally hope he never returns here.
I wanted to add this from his site:
GUARANTEE: All items are 100% guaranteed to be as described for identification and/or originality. There have been a few occasions when I miss something in a description but it is an extremely rare occurrence and I have always made good on it. It is my intention to be as accurate as possible so as not to waste your time or mine. But, if I make a mistake, you are covered. You can buy with confidence.
I wonder how this would go...

"Well Charlie, we'll send all the helmets with switched liners ( known ones that is ) to you, and you can pay top dollar for them happily."
Just a reality check. Buyers set the prices not dealers. I'm not removing the responsibility from the dealer but......... Part of the problem is buyers willing to pay obscene top dollar prices for these items.
TRUST NO ONE. There are FAR more dealers that tamper with stuff then there are dealers that don't.

This gets more worrying buy the day first ken and now mr hicks.if you go into partnership with someone usually you know what your partner is up to if you dont then something is wrong.
mr hicks is a god in the helmet world so who would question him and why would you.
i think people in this collecting world have used thier trust and knowledge to lie steal and cheat(yes i did say that) others out of hard earned cash.the fact that ken has not been on to give justification for the reasoning behind this thread is himself tightening the noose around his neck.can anyone contact this mr hicks and find out exactly what is going on as it is his reputation going down the swanny aswell
