      Folk,

Great observations & recall on a very nice piece. These bordered Police M35s are extremely rare, ain't that many about; so folk usually remember what they look like, even without snaps.

In its original condition, it was very tasty; really suited the overlapped aluminium liner. I guess that original liner is now in something else, 2 M35s corrupted.

Sad that Ken has not responded, I certainly hope that he does. Adverse inferences will only be drawn by a lack of reply; the visual documentation is very daming.

        helmets still selling

I've checked his site a few times today. New helmets are still selling quickly.

You just gotta wonder, have they been playing musical liners too?

Ken's visiting around, both yesterday and today, but no reply Silence is maybe the worst approach in this situation. The things so far do not look good, all seems clear and not in his favor, but I'd always want to hear his part of the story before making a conclusion - and silence would only prove the worst scenario

To avoid any mix-up, his goes for teh ss helmet greg mentioned ("Winkler") and not the Police helmet...
            Hi Cantara
It wasn't me that was warning anyone, i never saw it on ebay . I remember the SS shell well, when it was at " B&S " for sale as i nearly bought it myself.
The next time i saw it was sometime later on Ken's site. Although i knew the liner had been added i didn't know whether Ken had done this or whether he aquired the helmet this way. From the latest developments though you only have to add 2 and 2 together.
By the way Cantara ,not sure what " teh " means in your quote

I’ve owned this helmet you’re talking about and I bought it of Ken’s site. I later sold it on Ebay (to a WA member) an guess what… it reappeared on Ken’s site with info on where it came from not mentioned before…..(the <ST1Ardennes</ST1..)<O</O<O</O

Swithced out liner!! BIG DEAL. It happens all the time. Long time ago, this was a common thing to do. Nothing has changed other than the new collectors going nuts. I think Erich is wrong to bring this to a public forum. Look how many posts there are about nothing. Just a bunch of Women gosip. Ken is ok in my book and he does'nt need to explain anything to such dummys that judge without facks. This forum SUCKs. You all have bought nice stuff from Ken and now you have it out for him.. Erich get a life and put your badge away. Spend more time beating the bushes and not so much PI work. Charly

Well Charlie, we'll send all the helmets with switched liners ( known ones that is ) to you, and you can pay top dollar for them happily.
I'd rather get what i'm paying for.

Very disappointing... the age of digital pictures and the internet, finally a tool for the good guys.

Well said Ty. Although, I think this sort of thing goes on all the time in this hobby, and not just in helmets. I'm sure that uniforms and daggers are put together all the time by major, 'trusted' dealers. There is just too much money in the hobby. The incentive for the fast buck has crushed the ethics that MAY have once been more prevelant in this hobby.

Charly, you sound like you could be Ken's mom. If you think there's nothing wrong paying top dollar for helmets that have been jerked with, carry on buy them all. Tim.
