Sometimes it's just impossible to put a ballpark figure on an object. It's all about supply and demand. The HH auction for GPBs will be an interesting look at what happens when too many badges become available in the market. I believe the badge itself will hold its value but it is what happens in the coming years. Will collectors dispose of it? Will all the badges that have been accumulated by JP hold its value? only time will tell.

Keyword here? - Supply & Demand + Rarity. Another would be if the artefact is attributed, just like the early KSE eagles that Mike posted. The Mahnmal plaque is more about its significance in a historical event just like the commemorative souvenirs for the Nov 1933 event.

I was just expressing an idea of what mine was worth to ME. I felt lucky to get mine for 1K. What did you pay for the last one that you bought? Just Curious, Butch

I understand, I think people sometimes look at numbers tossing on forums and take it to heart so I think I was thinking the next time one pops up the seller maybe be trying to hawk it for 10k. Trust me it happens. I think the market on the last 3 sold that I am aware of were at the 2500-3000 level. That is probably close and these are nice but they are white metal statues and at the level quoted far exceed the standard items of this type of manufacture in most any case. So there is a premium built into those numbers. Not to say one could not exceed that on the supply/demand equation but its still limited at this time.

I see them at the $1500-2000 mark. However if someone asked $2500 they may get it.

                  Jon,
how many have you seen for sale? Think, 2000-2500 is the going price on these if you can find one.

$2500? - Are you guys referring to KS wall eagle or referring to the Mahnmal plaque? Either way I would be keen to pay as I collect these and study them. Some of you would know that I love eagles due to its aesthetics and significance.

The plaques are also very rare and seldom offered.
Mil- I call these the 'plaques'
My plaques I would sell for $2500 a piece if you wanted to pay that( BO not included )

No, the last few plaques sold for much less than $2500 - but if someone wants one and can't find one...... As Jon Fish says-

There are plenty of generic Third Reich plaques around - and then there are the much scarcer "Mahnmal Plaques" which just like the beautiful Mahmal Monument desk ornaments, are so much more evocative and culturally and historically significant,

                          Best Regards,

Very nice!. Plaque's of this style while nice never bring real money but will sell at a premium. The statue's would certainly bring more than the plaques and that is just the market.

Out of curiosity, how many members here own the Mahnmal statue? JP had an oynx based one which I think went to another member?

I have been informed that the "another member" that JP's Mahnmal statue went to was "Mil", if this is true, can you please post it here, if not, can you please post your Mahnmal statue here anyway, we would love to see it
