Here are some things I can't figure out. It appears to be a 3.Kompanie but from what unit? Symbol seems to be a flag? Also what does "IK" on the number plate mean?

Here is a unit emblem on right fender of a staff car from a pioneer regiment...lots of pics of destroyed bridges so i suspect a bridge building unit..there is a sign on a post that list two pioneer units, one reads

For our friends from Hungary - a photo taken in 1941 shows a very detailed unit sign drawn on a truck from field bakery.

Hello Akira

The centre of your symbol reminded me of one of the coat of arms on the old Austria-Hungary flag 1869-1918.

An Austrian unit maybe?

Thanks Larry, the photos came with the backside writing "hungarian field bakery". The Austro-Hungarian crest it is, it could well be hungarian.

Here's another unknown unit emblem, which is very important for me. I'm writing a scientific report on a German execution place in Belgium, and this is from the only known German photograph from that place. An identification of this unit emblem, which looks like the head of a wild boar to me, would be very, very appreciated. Photo is probably late-war. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ian, thanks for your input, but I don't think that's the emblem. Perhaps you see it clearer in the less detailed pic at the end of this thread.
