Charles like to know what the emblem on the doors means , and what is the name below the eagle's talons?

Hi Charles, as you see I have post your photos on the thread.

On this photo you see a Praga Lady ambulance with the original Deutsche Rote Kreuz emblem on the door.

        Hi Hans

The first two letters look like "St" which could be Austrian.
        (Steiermark 1939-45).

        Cheers
        Larry

          Hi Guys:

I am with Larry on this one. The vehicle is an Austro-Daimler so Austria is a natural assumption. I am not sure of the model but I would bet it is one of the ADR series from around 1931 to 1934. The ID clue is the bow and arrow emblem on the radiator.
          regards
          Bill

Hi friends, I think you have the answers, Charles ask me to post the three photos on the Mercedes-Benz thread, but I thought it is better on this one.

It is great that you both could help Charles Hans

                Hans-
Thanks for posting my photos and for your contributions as well. Those are some great images!

                Larry & Bill-
I appreciate your replies. It is my opinion too that the first two digits on the plate are "St". So that makes it from Austria? Great! Then maybe that would make it easier to answer my next question...Can you tell from the close-up of the door emblem what is written below the eagle? Could this be a city or regional name?

                  Hi

A really long shot...but the word looks like "Leonen" which is Latin and has something to do with lions.

                  Cheers

                  Larry

                        Hans,

probably it reads "Leoben", a town in Steiermark (Styria), Austria:

                          Matthias, Larry and Hans:

Thank you for your assistance in IDing the DRK photo (Matthias, thank you for the link!). Thanks again Hans for posting the image. This is exactly why I enjoy being a member of this forum. It is because of their help, the photo in question now has a probable ID instead of it sitting in my album with a big question mark above it. Thanks again guys!

                              Morning Jeroen:
Your vehicle is an Opel probably a P4, maybe a 1.2 litre.
From the looks of the registration plate, it was requisitioned in perhaps Hannover.
                              Regards
