Thoughts on this ebay item

Yeah, that was a bargain. I bought a curved airborne title from the same seller that was 10 euro also.

They were listed on ebay Holland and those items do not automatically show on other ebay sites, so not many people saw it.

Well, the para helmet auction ended. I am very surprised it did not sell for more I was sure there would have been a bidding frenzy at the end? Must only happen to items I am interested in

I didn't expect the price to go higher than £703.87 and I knew there wouldn't be any sniping action at the end because A) the price went high quickly at the start due to a bidding war B) I think the yellow paint put people off? Not the colour they associate with the more famous actions in France/Holland? Just my thoughts

Jack, I think it is the use of flashlight that makes the colour look a bit yellowish. Looks ok to me.

I saw this Canadian despatch riders helmet on ebay today; with a bit of DIY an unscrupulous seller could make it look like an original airborne fibre rim helmet shell!

Hi Jack, I think, like Luc, they colour is the correct early grey/green just the lighting makes it look "yellowish".

Yeah I think it was forum member SMP who is more known for FJ collecting. Maybe I am wrong but I think thats who Ade is thinking of too?

I still think £700 for that helmet is cheap. I already have a fibre rim so I was not that interested. The lighting only made the paint look yellow. Its a very clean example. Well done to whoever got it.
