Sorry to say these blokes are not German!! They are British sailors...their distinct sailor caps and the tommy helmet is a dead giveaway. Bill

Bill, yea I saw the tin lid and the white caps but this is whay I thought they were German... anyway just so you don't think I am on a zoned out Monday...lol

I have this American Press photo, of two young SS soldiers.

the text on the backside:
" "Elite" Nazis Captured. Two young German SS (Elite Guard) troopers, wearing a wild array of makeshift clothing, keep their hands up after being captured by units of the Seventh Army at Schillersdorf near the French-German border. They were with Nazi forces transferred recently from Norway to the western front."

Also there is a stamp "FEB 6 - 1945"

If you look at those caps they are two toned (two colors) which is another sign they are british. Give it up...accept it... !! Bill

Well since Mike posted McHales Navy as POW's last time I decided to revive this thread with some new material.
