      Dear Brumm,<O></O>
Before I finish my travels, I want to write you a short note, as tomorrow I head back to Saarbrucken. Most importantly, I have a favor to ask. I was in Garmisch and searched for the house of your Aunt, but didn’t find it, as I wanted to thank her again for the pleasant visit that she afforded me. Please thank her in my name. Now I wish you all the best, lots of joy on your trip, and very good weather. Yours,…<O></O>
Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

I will try to give you a condesed summary.

The guy made a visit to see Munich. He also made a trip to Garmisch to find the house of the aunt of the friend to whom the postcard is addressed because he was guest in the house of that aunt ( I think in Munich). He wants to thank the aunt for having had the chance to stay as a guest in her home.
So he asked his fried to foreward his thanks to the aunt. Now he wants to go back to Saarbrücken to his home.
