    Hi PaulW.
    Re your photo,#795.
    Also thread #429,page25.
This emblem belongs to Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment Belgien-Nordrankreich.
It's also seen on a Fi156..DJ+PF,in winter camo.
    Hope this helps.

      Hi Olivier
      Re you thread #790.
Your photo's of a static sun hakenkreuz, with an emblem in the centre, seen's to be a man standing in there??do you a clear close up photo,as it seen
that it in the colour of each Abt.It is of course a Luftwaffe Flak Unit, not anything to do with Waffen SS, emblems.
      It is
first seen in the parade in Athens in 1941.And then in Russia (Southern Front). The only unit to have both,20cm and 88cm,as a mixed unit is..I/Flak Regiment 14.
      Hope this might help you.
      Regards Jack

Hi Jack, that's very helpful. Much appreciated!

I found this book related to the unit on Weitze's website, complete with the tactical symbol.

        https://www.weitze.net/militaria/13/...k__244213.html

From the information on Weitze's site:- "issued on 20th April 1944 by commander Colonel John Oehmichen"

        Best regards, Paul

        Welcome to the WAF btw!

            Hi,

Would like to ID the unit emblem on the Marder shown on the picture below (the tactical marking is for Panzerjäger (motorisiert)).

            Thanks !

            Max

Max, not "motoriest" but "gepanzert" surely, the tracks rather than wheels on the sign being the clue. As for the divisional sign, it looks like the man rune with a character painted in the fork of the Y but I've never seen it before.

                  Hi Bern,

The upper emblem is I./JG 51 (First Gruppe of JG 51) not 1./JG 51 First Staffel of JG 51) .

                  Cheers

                            Hi ZEK,

Sorry for very very late reply

I think the marks on the Map belong to I./Flak-Regiment 37 (gem. mot.)

in Spring 1940. See my conclusion .

                                Hi,

the character of the Hamburg water carrier was used by various
units of the Army and Air Force. The units did not have
Connection to each other the connection was the City of Hamburg.
