          Hi Dan,

          that could be a vehicle of the staff, engineer battalion 80 (Pionierbataillon 80) of the 44th infantry division (44. Infanteriedivision).
          You can find the sign on the site: www.wwiidaybyday.com).

          Regards

          Bert

              High voltage // не влезай убьёт ..не трогать .. Написали немцы по русски ..в данном случае ..имелось ввиду не прикасаться ..но смысл один и тот же означает что там высокое напряжение

                      Hi Mr. X,

                      these are the three tactical signs of an unit from 1939 till the end of the war:
                      in the middle the tactical sign of the Baubataillon 47 (construction battalion), initial organization 26th August 1939;
                      on the left WA is the abbreviation for Wachabteilung (guard battallion); the Baubattalion was reorganized into a Wachabteilung 21th December 1940;
                      on the right is the tactical sign of the Nachschubbataillon 47 (supply battalion); the guard battalion was reorganized into a supply battalion 1st July 1943; then was serving all the time on the eastern front.

                      Regards

                      Bert

                              The last pic, with four-leaf clover (Kleeblatt) emblem, is 71. Infanterie-Division.

                                Hi Edwin...

                                The vehicle is a 1938 American Dodge. It looks like a 7 passenger taxi variant which was rather rare, even in Europe.

                                Do you have any idea where the photo was taken??

                                Bill
