    And one more.

I think the second one is a Renault and the car is maybe a Hotchkiss or a Delage, just not sure.

      Hi Bill,

This car may be a bit hard to identify. It's a bit out of focus.

      Cheers,
      Larrister

        Hallo Larry:

I believe what you have there is a late 1920s early 1930s Mercedes.
Look at the hubcap on the left of the photo and I think I see the three pointed star fairly clearly. I am not competent to ID the year or the model.
Hans Rinsma must be on one of those long Dutch holidays as I have not seen him posting lately but I am sure he could help us out on this ID question as well as a few others the last week or so.
        Cheers.
        Bill

          Hi Bill,

I think you are correct. I missed the three-point star on the hubcap.
          Thanks!

            hi larrister !
your photo n° 166 is not a french car but a Steyr typ 220 cabriolet (1938-1941).
            regards patrick

              Thanks Patrick:

I posted the photo, but never mind. You are of course correct. I just missed the Steyr emblem on the radiator but see it now and also forgot that a Delage would most likely be RHD.
              Cheers

                Hello Bill,

Here is a nice recent addition to my collection. I think it's a 1930s Packard but would like confirmation of this. Note the Mercedes truck on the right. Writing on the back says: "In Bergheim" which is in NE France so the car may have been a recent confiscation after the invasion of France.

                Best regards,
                Larrister

A close up of wheel hubs. There seems to be some type of marking on them. Also note the French helmet on top of the radiator.Larrister

                    Unknown car

                    Hello,

today I received this photograph with the photograph of the grave of
oakleaves holder Generalmajor Franz Scheidies. I don't know what type of car it is and whom it belonged to.

                    Thank you for help!

                        Evening all:

Larry: I will bet a pint or two that your vehicle is German. ID to follow.
Koehler: I believe your vehcile is a Horch.
Mike: Most likely French, but a bit of an odd location of the front wheels.

I am trying to close the month at my business, (bloody books and tax authorities), so I may be a bit slow in coming back to these questions but will do so as soon as I can.
                        Cheers
                        Bill
