    Hi Kerry:

They are both Borgwards and they look to me to be ex civilian vehicles.
I will try to ID the exact model in a bit but I often get it wrong.
Holger or Bert are very good with these trucks and may get back to
    you sooner.

    Edit: Probably 3 tonners.

    Cheers
    Bill

Just obtained some photos from bombed Rotterdam, September 1940. What kind of car is this, and could it be a high Luftwaffe official?

          Hi Sudhafen:

From what little one can see on your photo, I will say that I think
it is possibly a Ford 1938 Deluxe or
Ford 1939 Standard car. I have no idea about the flag.

          Cheers
          Bill

These are, I believe, French, but what are they? There are 2 trucks, one wheeled and one half-tracked or tracked, plus several small "tankettes". Thanks, Kerry.

              Hi Kerry:

The truck is a Latil TARH.
Half tracks are not my forte so I will leave that one to someone else.

              Cheers

Maybe a French Somua MCG artillery tractor?

                  Hi Kerry, hi Bill,

to the two similar trucks. The make is not Borgward, but Hansa-Lloyd, the predecessor of Borgward. The model is difficult to ID from this perspective, either the model "2-Tonner Benzin" or the model "2 1/2-Tonner Benzin".

Bill, congratulations to Your "computer eyeglasses". That´s really great, that You are back with Your old ability to ID cars and trucks.

                  Regards

                  Bert

                    Hi Bert/Kerry:

Well, I still can laugh and still have my sense of humour, I hope.

So, I still missed the difference between Hansa LLoyd and Borgward
vehicles even so I had started a thread on those trucks on the
                    AHF Forum.

On the other hand, I have had a much better rate of success on this
and other Forums these last 7 days or so as I am getting accustomed to my new
eyeglasses. I just got the computer glasses a week ago and it is supposed
to take at least a month before I become adjusted to them.

Please keep the ID questions coming, as I am wanting to get back into the
                    game again.

                    Cheers
                    Bill

Bill, Bert and remco, thanks for the help.
And Bill, taking you at your word, here is an interesting and ecclectic carpark, which I think you will like. Some of the vehicles are even obvious to me, but not all. Have fun, Kerry.

                        Hi Kerry:

Sorry, I missed your post for some reason.

From left to right in the front row.

Mercedes, probably a 2 or 3 series, I am not sure.
2 Horch Kfz 15 Medium Passenger Cars.
Bedford MW early version with split windscreens I believe.
                        3 Steyr 250 light trucks.
                        Austin 8HP.

From left to right in the second row.
Looks to me like 4 Steyr 640 trucks.
                        Opel 3 tonner I believe.
                        Possibly a Horch.

Far right in the third row.
                        Renault AGR.

Best I could do for today.

                        Cheers
                        Bill

                          Hi Bill,

an excellent ID of these vehicles. Only in one point I cannot agree with You: the Austrain truck: I think it´s not a Steyr type 640, but an Austro-Daimler type ADGR.

                          Regards

                          Bert

P.S.: BTW the Steyr type 250 is not a truck, but a car.

                            Hi Bert/Kerry:

Sorry I am late in posting.

Bert, you are probably correct on the line of trucks. If you look at good, clear photos of the two different marques, if you cannot see the details of the motor hood they look very much the same. The major visual difference is how tall are the windscreens,
and in this case looking at the photo with a magnifying glass in addition to my new eyeglasses, these trucks seem to have the shorter windscreens of the A/D.

As to the Steyr, you are, of course, technically correct. The 250 was derived from the 150 light truck which can be seen very often as an ambulance as well as a light panel truck. Sometimes, my brain seems as worn out as my eyes and I chose the original designation of the vehicles "parent".

                            Cheers
                            Bill

Thanks as always Bill Bert et al.
This photo is somewhat water-damaged and creased, but can anyone say what it is?
                              Thanks, Kerry.

I hae no idea at all but it screams post-war movie to me, so it will probably turn out to be a real wartime vehicle !
