...Ladies and Gentlemen... THE Dak Officer's cap...

    Awesome!

Insignia stripped with removed Panzer Grenadier soutache, manufactured by Robert Lubstein, 1941 dated and still has a tag with the soldiers initials. I'm constantly looking for a well used and faded set of insignia to place on it. I've received some very high offers for it but have no interest in parting with it (just like Mark with his). I could have made a profit of thousands if I had accepted one of the offers but I am a collector so the monetary temptation just isn't there.
Have a great weekend (I'll be working for at least half of it as usual).

More pics of cap as requested.
This one also wants to be a tribute to the GREAT work of NZMark! EVERY headgear becomes unique on such display!

Quite dirty front (lower part) and inside. I will NEVER clean it!

And last, lining, very faded. As said, no traces at all of any visible markings left.

                Indeed,
THE best example I've ever seen on the forum, while Daniele's is THE enlisted man's pattern.
                Bloody Wonderful
                Regards,

                    Heia safari Daniele

Thankyou so much for the chance to see this wonderful piece of history.
Daniele & Mark(s)& Paul are the inside grommet washers backwords ? Can't tell from photos...but one maker did have this unique style. And maybe black light will help show signs of makers mark (maybe).

Roughly how many of these Pz em caps are still in this world today ?

NZMark your nice DAK cap post # 196 is em/officer upgrade correct ?
and Mark G same question, your wonderful cap is em/officer upgrade too? Now that I compare yours with NZNark, is yours maybe original factory example ?
Just trying to learn from all these fine examples just recently posted....

These caps just speak to you don't they ? !!

Someday I will join your ranks.....till then hats off to ALL of YOU

                    very best
                    Tim

                      Hi Tim,
That's correct. My example is an enlisted man's which has been field up-graded with white cord (now turned off white with dirt and age). The fine thread used to attach it goes through into the red lining. This came out of Italy, and I will always be thankful to my friend there for contacting me about it.
                      Regards,
                      Mark.

Dirty, greasy, bent...you just couldn't pay me enough to part with it.

Yes do not sell this cap. You would regret it forever no matter what you got for it...unless maybe you trade it for a PzKw Mk IIIg

                          thanks as always

                            Hi,

Daniele, thanks for sharing that fabulous cap. Just SPLENDID!

Reapplied DAK cuff on the 1st patter NCO tunic. Just LOVE the tunic's light green color.

                              Restoration Project

                              Hi fellas,

I wonder what others think about restoring some of our badly damaged/missing component pieces? By "restoration" I mean repair or to bring back to its original condition and NOT to alter, modify or change an article to something which is wasn't.

                              Any thoughts?

Below is the almost finished DAK nco noard. The eyelet stitching needs a little work.

Boy, I'm almost embarassed to post my small DAK display after seeing of the amazing items already posted. I'm not a DAK collector, but I did serve in the USAF in the desert, so what better reason to collect a few small things...
