            The KM is just lovely.

You should post that your Luft is in S/S and in no way associated with the SS

I have posted them already once, but... Really I have not much else to show!
Please keep on showing your Dak stuff!

                    Daniele,
your contribution to this thread, although small, is quite outstanding and represents the epitomy of the Afrikakorps. You are one lucky collector to have those two sensational caps in your collection.
It would be nice if this little '40 dated Lago example still had a soutache, but alas I'm still very very pleased with it.

                    Take care

Will surely post a liner shot asap, if interesting. I never took yet.
Deeply thanks to the too kind words, but I do not deserve them. I am SURE there is plenty of MUCH MORE INTERESTING, AND RARE stuff out there... Hope the owners will be open to share them!!!

PLEASE, AGAIN: Anyone has any idea (wartime picture, or something like that) about that ANCHOR on the sidecap? Single tank, unit...?
Would be very interesting to know more about!
                      Thanks for any help!

I'm looking forward to seeing more shots Daniele. Is it an example made by the firm of Frankenstein by any chance? It just looks to me like one of the tan examples made by this firm. I have a '41 dated olive green example (pictured) and had the pleasure of handling a mint tan panzer example once. Your cap is so much better than the mint example because I just love used items, so much more history than sitting in a clothing depot.

Ahhh!!!! I just love collecting tropical items. So much history and so incredibly interesting.

Those are very special caps too, Mark. My tastes too usually go for "good" used conditions, more than mint. But if possible, this is especially true for Dak stuff. Do not ask me why, but if show me a mint M36 wool Jacket, and a same style but used one, I could be uncertain of my choice.
For Dak items, no way: anything in used condition earns a lot of charme for me. Strange...and can't explain the reason!

                            Hi Daniele,

I think the winning preference for worn vs mint is easy to see in your own images of those two beautiful caps of yours .. they have both seen things you and I will never see, that's a feeling something mint will never give us !

Here is a pic of one of my tropical caps with evidence of a once present green soutache .. the other cap is of a little later manufacture but is in that nice worn condition that i definitely favour .. I am so enjoying this thread and please Daniele do post images of the interior of your Pz field cap .. Daniele I am going to take a guess and say would it be a
"LAGO Berlin" 1940 or even perhaps early 41 ??

                            Cheers for now
                            Paul l k.
