but were the 'base'-tunics original stripped tunics or completely
made from scratch i.e. fake fabric tailored jackets/pants?

Although this sort of thing has been known privately for the last 10 years the ante has certainly been raised by this dealer, If you have purchased something from this dealer you may be in a whole lot of trouble? is it mint ?
