Agree with you phild, indeed no reasons to consider this wrap a fake.
By my knowledge I continue to consider it original as many here in this forum.

So here is an example of the famous French fake HBT. They are in an eBay auction being offered as originals. Here is the link:

Here are 3 photos from that auction showing the HBT and the very prominent vvvvvv pattern on the reverse of the HBT. That material is nothing like the material in the HBT wrap under discussion.

Fake HBT

If these pants are the much talked about French fake material, its
hard to see why there was even a comparison. All you have to do is
look at the wrap photos inside and out and it is clearly original
HBT. At a glance I could understand some confusion with photos of
this wrap, but not after all the discussion, further photos, and
comments from people who saw it in person.

your item for sale on the espenlaub internet catalogue number GU063 is a water camo smock which they say is original wehrmacht and recovered from russian captured supplies.

but ones of this type seem to have had comments from this forum declaring such items to be non original.

can anyone please chime in here regarding this specific item. the item has been unsold for a long time now.

the seller seems genuinely interested in items' authentricity, hence their postings on this forum re the tank wrap.

maybe this interest extends to this hoodless hbt smock, which is still for sale at 1850 euros.

as said, if its hbt herringbone pattern inside the jacket, gonna be a fake. only outside did the material have the unadulterated hbt fish bone tracking.
