Maybe you see something I am missing. Please look at the above picture and tell me where the tracking is? I honestly can not see any on the underside. This in now way resembles the previously mentioned fake material.

...just my consideration about the HBT cloth.
Please remember that Mr CARVANO chief of HSC in Paris, not only tailored his repro stuff with reproduced HBT fabric, but also with ORIGINAL one who popped up from the rags factories in Italy (Prato) which he bought in enormous quantity!
So consider also this information before judging something made with HBT, italian Olona or typical wool clothes!
...and lastly, he his a ba****rd, so keep your eyes open!

Alex, So are you then agreeing this is original cloth?

              Hi,
first of all, i don't agree the theory about the internal waves. I have two super original m43 HBT tunic and both have them. About the tunics in general (wrap inclusive), i just said that our friend Caravano tailored some repro with original cloth. That's all.

Very interesting.. Thanks for the post.

I find that on the forum, when one person tags an item as fake, everyone jumps in agreeing quickly, but those who disagree with the call, seem reluctant to voice there opinion. I like hearing both sides of an argument!!!

I have a pair of HBt drillich mechanics pants that are 100% real without a doubt, and ALSO have a V pattern on the reverse side.. Also a pair in white hbt that seems to be a rougher texture and even thicker.

There are quite a few. Maybe the buyers should form a support group. Jacques http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=160889

Jacques... I was just searching through the forums and found this thread! Some people have some nerve, maybe he has some more piece of junk to sell?

Let's hope some newer members don't get stiched and study those links!

Another forum member, Scott Hess, looked for and found photos of an HBT wrap he bought from Bill Shea in approximately 2004. This wrap was near identical to the subject wrap that started this thread except the collar tabs were removed, and the markings different. Scott decided not to keep the wrap as he could not find any confirmation as to originality. It was returned to Bill and it was quickly resold for more money. It now resides in another collection. Thanks to Scott I am now able to share those photos.

Additional markings in near identical HBT wrap.

Notice the there is no "NR"

Notice also a depot mark "P" for Posen, also a "44" date.

Hbt cloth bolt or assembly numbers in original wrap discussed.

There are 4, one in each panel, here are 3.

Here is another one those tricky fakers hid in the pocket to really throw everyone off. Notice the reverse of the oatmeal colored HBT? More original HBT used in the construction...a "hands on" should tell ya.

Here they are in the second wrap. Those fakers are really going for it, they used 2 completely different numbers. I did not see size numbers in this second wrap in either set of pictures I have seen of it. If they are there they were not photographed.

Here is another shot of the original subject wrap. I hope all who did not feel this wrap was original, for perfectly legitimate reasons, will give it the once over at the SOS and be gentlemanly enough to post their opinions after a "hands on".
