            [QUOTE=mloppkit;7417694]Hi All,

            Just thought I'd post a very simple tribute to the Mahnmal Monument this time with only the wall plaque,

            Cheers,

            I have a reproduction copy of the Mahnmal Monument wall plaque (it was sold to me as a copy, not an original). It still looks fairly old and is a fairly good quality reproduction (I've wondered if it actually is a copy, but the friend who sold it to me said it was). I've always wondered what the original looked like, and now I know, thank you for posting.

            My version has some extra writing on it that yours doesn't have, so I wonder if there were a variations of it. I bought it as a set with a München Feldernhalle wall plaque (also a copy).

            Cheers

            Nicole

                The picture in my post is not of my plaque, I was quoting a post a page earlier.

                Cheers

                      Further to post #705 which shows Mike's 3d FHH, now after the discover of a genuine FHH without the eagle ( see photo), so Mike decides to combine the 3d FHH eagle with the genuine FHH ( see photo).
                      This is really amazing job to preserve the very rare FHH!
                      Well Done Mike!
                      (This one is # 13 FHH in our system)

                            I agree -- a beauty! Does this piece bear any dedication of any sort?

                              Br. James,
                              U can visit www.militaria-fundforum.de. Using search, type Blutorden, then read the thread by Xtoy ( close to very top). As it is in German so I can not tell whether any dedication.
                              BTW, what is the purpose of this FHH ? ( I read somewhere but can not remember )

                                Hi Chen,

                                There were other commemorative pieces like this FHH Memorial made during the TR era -- I have a similar example of Haus Wachenfeld made of metal -- and I assume that they were made for sale in Munich tourist shops and kiosks and at NSDAP events, like post cards were. (Nowadays we see similar models of Schloss Neuschwanstein and Die Wartburg for sale in those shops and at those sites -- I have one of each!) But I also believe I've seen examples of this FHH Mahnmal model bearing engraved plaques on the rear of the models, though I cannot now recall what was being observed on those plaques -- possibly some sort of an event award??
