Hello all,

I hope it is not a problem to post it here, but instead of a German, this time I have problems with reading some English writing. It is a postcard from the First World War and I am trying to read the name to who it was sent, but I can't really make it out. Is someone able to help?

I am not a specialist in reading English but I would read the name "Mrs Burr"

That is what it looks like to me as well, but the handwriting is really odd. The first "R" in Carr has a deliberate, separately applied cross-stroke, which would make it unquestionably an "x', but then the word makes no sense at all. And then, no dot for the "i"?

The guy must have been a doctor.

Can anyone decipher the last portion of the last award entry? I see the German Cross in Gold but can't decipher what to the right of it says.

Thanks all regarding the backside of the postcard. I can proceed with researching it now. It is a very nice First World War postcard, and I'm trying to find out more about the young soldier who wrote it, so I'm going to write a letter to Ilford now haha.
