I believe the sign on the cross (on the rear deck of the Panzer III) says Pz.Rgt.33 in which case it was most likely a type-o on his part.

Beautiful, Christian. Just beautiful... Very nice late-war photo of a StuG.III from Pz.Gren.Div."Kurmark." Judging from the surroundings, the camo on the StuG and what the soldiers are wearing, I'm going to guess the time frame to be late March/April 1945? Again, wonderful photo. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Do you happen to have more pictures from that unit?I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.
