Nice photos!
Any idea on the date of these photos? Pre- or post-Stalingrad?

Mark, Great photos. Do you own the one with them standing In the Front of Krags command vehicle also? I think I remember seeing a few from this particular day. Just awesome!

Oberst Ludwig Ritter von Radlmaier, who later became Generalleutnant.
Major(?) Anton Schmid, who later became Oberst and was awarded with amongst others the Deutsches Kreuz and Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes. He was amongst others the Kommandeur of Panzer-Regiment 100.

Jason,
Take a look at my other good friend Jim Haley (PzV) on his StuG Abt. 243 Group thread and you will have the answer. He picked up most of the Grouping from Karl-Heinz who got it directly from the son of the veteran for nothing. I happily received some of the double photos.

Do you have any background on the photos and their history?

There is a single digit # on the shoulderboard of one of the men in the train photo but I cannot confirm for sure if it is a 7 or 8, even while using the eye loupe. All of the photos from that group + the stuttgart pic are from the same source, and I have requested info...with no response yet. I think we are on the right track, but I will wait to see if I can get confirmation from the seller too.
Thank you for your help and interest, its very much appreciated!

Bill:
I ate lunch at the former 7th Panzer Regiment officer's club yesterday. What's cool is there is still a iron work fancy scroll of "7 Pz Rg" on one of the windows.
Last month they just covered over the door areas of one of the former tank maintenance buildings and made the outer wall flat and smooth. I hate to see the old buildings getting changed.
