The Germas continued to use the Char B2 (as they called it) for the rest of the war both as a gun tank and as a flamethrower. The one in your post is the first type, later there was a second type with an extension built beside the driver's postion so that the flamegunner could see. The Char B2 F was famously used at Arnhem for example . Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the information. So my flametank was difficult to use due to the flamegunner not being able to see and thus acquire targets properly, is that right? I suppose then he was just told the general direction to point the flame gun and then he squeezed the trigger.

No, in your version the flamethrower was aimed and fired by the driver in the same manner as the 75mm gun in the original tank. The flamegunner was a new post for all the reasons you supposed. Alan

I am not sure what the unit is, but these guys were all definitely in it too, and they were in Russia to be sure..

The unit symbol is five white dice superimposed on a darker coloured circle. Your motorcycle picture appears to be the reverse..5 dark coloured dice on a lighter coloured circle. Are they Panzer Grenadiers?

I have a trouble with this german light Flak unit (leicht Flak abt. or may be gemischte)
I don't know which number is it.

Can anyone know this Flak unit emblem (lis flower) ?
The only unit I found was a Heer unit.

The photos may be taken in germany in 1942 or 1943 and it's a 2cm Flak unit
I have unfortunately no more information (name, location...) about it.

I am trying to ID this crest on the fron of the side-car.
The motorcycle is from the 16.Pz.Div. and the tactical emblem on the fron fender looks like the Pionier-Bataillon. But the crest on the front of the side-car I have not seen before. I have not scanned the picture yet, these I just took with the camera, any help is appreciated.

Could not find any match, but I would say that it is from one of XIV, XXXXVIII or III Korps, I guess. Richard? Are you there?

Richard, I cannot really make out the mudguard at this time, but I will work on it.

This is the second time I see this series of pics, the unit symbol both on a Renault bus and a softskin type vehicle probably for possibly a general officer.
