There was one common idea of the "Wehrwolf 1923/33" and the "Werwolf 1944/45". The idea of the fight against the enemies, who crossed the German border. The orign of this idea you can find in literature (Hermann Löns book "Der Wehrwolf"). In 1923 the enemy were the French troops, who occupied the Ruhrgebiet. At the end of ww2 it were all foreign troops, that crossed the borders.

...for others there were only stamps on postcards.

That post card is a clue to me, that many early wehrwolf members must also have been members of the "iron brigade" (und doch)?

"und doch" was a common expression of the period which referred to being on guard against Bolshevism, socialism and the left. It was used a lot on Freikorps and para-military propaganda, documentation, flags, badges etc.

So, I don't think there's necessarily a specific link between the WW and the Iron Division (I think you mean - not Brigade).

That is correct. Wehrwolf members fought in Freikorps, perhaps some were Freikorps soldiers in the Eiserne Division, but there is no direct relation between the Eiserne Division and Wehrwolf.

                Wehrwolf meeting 1928 in Danzig!

Many members were worker and had not the money for the trip to East. The different Ortsgruppen in Germany could only sent a few members to Danzig. Newspapers wrote c. 3000 members were in the city. Maybe one of the reasons, why no special Wehrwolf postcard was printed for that event. Communists tried to disturb the meeting and some Wehrwölfe were attacked by RFB members with knifes.

Another advertisement from the same Wehrwolf newspaper like that one in #148.

Badges for events and flags from a Fahnenfabrik in Pirna.

                  Order your Wehrwolf flag now!!!!

Question, has anybody else some interesting Wehrwolf pieces in his collection?

kannst du mal bitte das Ärmelabzeichen über der Wehrwolf-Armbinde vergrößert einstellen?

                        Dank + Gruss!

Photo is not from my collection.

Das Foto ist leider nicht aus meiner Sammlung. Ich hätte das Abzeichen auch gerne gesehen.
