Needed some years, but finally my Wehrwolf buckle hunt ended.

Untouched since more than 80 years.

It came from a well known source with an original belt and it was never in a collection before.

Excellent piece. It's always satisfying being able to find something, especially as rare as this, that has never passed through other collectors' hands.

I'm very happy with it. It is a real attic find. Adverse storage conditions were the reason for the dark patina of that buckle. It will stay in unpolished condition. I prefer an untouched, unpolished original buckle more than a polished fake buckle in mint condition.

PS: In think these Wehrwolf members had no such problem to find a real buckle in past.

Have you seen this rather nice graphic WW card on eBay?

Wehrwolf cards are an own field of collecting.

I have already seen different pictures of Wehrwolf rings in advertisements of period newspapers and supplier catalogues.

This ring I have not seen before.

What kind of material it was made of?
