Simple difference,

What you defend here means several if not many collectors and dealers have "fake" covers & caps that they paid thousands of dollars or Euros for which are now revealed to be nothing more than a nice filler worth may be 100 Euro or dollars.

As already stated the "Pink" smock thread is closed by the moderators and I can not say more about that here,

Ask the dealers who are now being asked to take items back. As they say when a financial or property market collapses,

"blood all over the floor"

just like like the Champagne SS rune forgeries. Big money evaporated when they now try to sell or trade,

Many more of course do not like to admit they have invested quite some money in such creations. Perhaps some fear to look foolish and perhaps others that try to save their investments by passing the questionable items on. And even others, such as you, that "can't see" the facts or simply deny them.

Every type of exotic helmet cover was made.

I don't know how many different caps were made made but I am sure he used the same zelts to make pieces of all types and pattern mixes.

I can't answer how many grey tunics he done as I never tracked those.

imo there is nothing wrong with that cover with the black band. It is also VERY different from the only helmet cover that has been accepted as fake (which belongs to Francesco and btw never claimed that it came from lorenzo)
Anyway There is the same helmet cover in Beaver book (with black tape). Kammo man wrongly claimed it is fake because these tapes are "repairs" and has nothing to do on mint covers, like the one that started this thread. But we know kammo man is wrong as these tapes are not "field repairs" but manufacturer variation as Beaver said in his book. Threads on that helmet cover are not "white" as they are on "italian fakes". So what is wrong with this cover in your opinion other than it came from Lorenzo ?

I saw myself a "pigeon" fake metal eagle in Lorenzo personal collection as well as an SS-BW stamped fieldgray M43 cap. They are going to be in his books i am sure of too. It does not make him fake-maker because if you bought or sold one or two items in good faith as original that which are later discovered to be fake is a common thing in this hobby. We all been there in these same shoes

I have said enough in this thread. We are all big boys and can make our own mind. Lorenzo is a nice guy to me as i said because i have dealt with him a lot and he never fooled me once even though he had a lot of chances. I just don't believe what i read here. It is fritz problem that he cannot comprehend how a simple policeman can be so successful.. well not everybody is poor as you man look at Bob Hritz for example he is also just a cop and lorenzo collection simply pales in comparison to what Bob has. Deal with it, there is always someone who is smarter, more successful and richer than you
