I received a contract from the publisher and everything was to my satisfaction as I had requested regarding usage control etc...

Still not 100% sure on when the release of the book will be although I am expecting a copy in the mail once it is done.

I was in the photo industry for twenty years and I'm still surprised at how many people are willing to just hand over photos to publishers (or worse - direct to the authors) without a contract. The publishers and authors make money from those books but they often expect gullible people will hand over photos for free and without a contract limiting the use of the photos.

I still haven't seen a contract from the publishers that contacted me, although they did specify a price.

I'm not really willing to deal with places that are not professional. I supplied one poster photo to the publishers for Professor Umberto Eco and they were totally professional in their approach. I hadn't heard of him before that; but he wrote the book "The Name of the Rose" which was made into a movie in 1986 with Sean Connery and Christian Slater.

So just be a bit cautious if you guys decide to provide photos to any of these people.

I must say that i was quite surprised by the conversation with the guy, but well, we will see. There is still a massive amount of unanswered questions on the SS posters subject.

        See You

I agree with this, it will be interesting to see the finished product.
