Indeed, it just doesn't really fit on this wrapper here. If it really is true what Delich wrote, then how does the brother of the antique dealer get possession of the wrapper at the end of the war? Was he at the officer's house?

Who remembers that kid in school who loved to hear himself talk - wrongly thinking others did as well – only valued his own opinion(s), clearly thought he knew best and absolutely had to have the last word on everything or else his self-esteem was utterly shattered ??

I can't remember having seen or read anything about this before. I don't need the last word, nor do I care about anyone behind their keyboards or if they like me or not. All I care about is the wrapper, and I try to put what I think about it into the Thread same as many others do.Right or wrong, who knows, it is just my personal Opinion and this is a discussion, so i do exactly that. If you don't like that, then that's the last thing I care about. This thread is about the wrapper, everything else well....wuff wuff. So please, can we do back to the Wrapper, Letter or what ever is in the Thread what is interesting, "Ultimumbler" is noticed and i will keep mumbeling....

I don't want to close this one. Let's stay on topic of the wrapper going forward. Thanks.

I could swear I saw this exact wrapper in Harper Noehren's collection almost 30 years ago.

Are we talking 1990’s ? I know who consigned it and it wasn’t anyone discussed or Harper Noehren. It must’ve changed hands frequently over the years, among some heavy hitters in the hobby too. Every part of the tunic is original. If it had sold without a COA we wouldn’t be discussing it so much. One of the website dealers sold a Heer wrap with SS insignias not long ago , not a peep here. Most of the posts now are just people’s views on the validity of COA’s . I say let it go let the new owner enjoy his prize when it arrives. I don’t think I would turn it away if it was offered to me.

Theres plenty of period photos showing ss wearing other branch tunics with ss insignia . one showing a guy in a flight blouse with a l a h cuff title ... Hiltler;s Doctor theodor Morell . was turning up to the office in home made ss uniforms he had made him self , till Himmler final stoped it,

so can some one say what the real problem is ? wrap fake ? insignia ? would like a clear understanding of whats wrong besides it not been ss cut .

Ultimately nothing , just some pointless banter about letter (which isn't a COA anyway).

I got a fully original LAH W-SS NCO wrap (W-SS issue!), untouched since war's end, only a couple of years ago out of Germany. Had it fully documented and gave the vet one of my books on Teddy Wisch as a thank you. These things still happen...

But it doesn't make any sense, as the Pz.Btl wasn't instituted till 2.42
