To me however as already said when you compare position of the second button relative to the top of the flap of the right pocket and to the button of the left pocket, it is also evident those two tunics are not the same.

This is the truth. Look at the top of the right pocket on the soldbuch picture; It's above the button. Look on the auction photo, its below. Pockets don't magically move on uniforms, not even in 75 years. This however can still be a 'second' or 'best dress' tunic that might have belonged to Klosterhuber, but there's no definite proof. The jacket and its insignia look original to me however, and I do like the way the eagle is stitched on. Maybe it's time to have a topic filled with loads of pictures of untouched SS tunics, it would be a interesting read.

Thats because this posting here is only about marketing this tunic and the auction.

it will be auctioned as Klosterhubers tunic regardless what anyone says here.

          Hi,

          pictures for the WAF archives.

Now a good question is : if it may not be the original tunic, what may be a realistic price for this assembled tunic ?
The starting price was 6500 euros, the current price is 6600 euros (11.34 AM, Thursday April 16, 2020).
With the buyer premium of 22.50%, the current price without shipping fees is 8085 euros.

          See You

ATM for European market is almost right, for USA cheap, for Germany/Austria expensive.

It is worth what someone is willing to pay. I would not go a Cent above 6500 and i don't think there is anything what makes it worth more there. Market will not climb now it will go the other way, People have other Things in there mind now then 80 Year old Stuff no matter what everyone try to make it look better or worth more. At one Point it will then go up again, was always like that. But now to pay crazy Prices is nuts. Pay the Price of the Parts what are there and you will be good to go.

                Hi Vince,
In these days an Oberbayern cuff goes for about 4500Euro
but I will calculate it cheap so I will say 3500.
That kind of sleeve eagle is sold more than 500K but I will consider it for 400.
How much for Tank destruction badge? there is one for sale on e-stand for about 1250 Euros. Can we give a 800Euro for these on the tunic? There are 2 on there so 1600.
Pioneer NCO's boards for 400 is cheap.
How much for a bullion collar tab set? 800 I think is good.
                There are 2 EK2......may be 200Euro
A wound badge and a ribbon bar 150.

Here we have a total of 7050Euro.
We did't consider the tunic itself .How much goes a nice SS modified M43 tunic .Not less than 3K but we can consider it for 2500
Here we have a total of 9550Euro.(There is also a compass but I have not idea how it worth )

I don't think anything close to that will happen. A lot will have to adjust to what is ahead of us....no more crazy Prices and wishful thinking. That here are past Prices....wait a couple Month, and then i like to see 4500 for a Cuff But i guess we will all know this weekend what is the Outcome.

thanks Francesco for your expertise !

So it may do 7700 euros without fees for a total value of 9500 euros.

                    See You

You’re welcome Vice.Yes,I think 7700€ Plus fees is what it worth. There is only one bidder at the moment and if he won the tunic for 6600 euro he make a good deal imo

The field made Tank Destruction badges have very little value if they were off the tunic. One cannot compare them to a textbook tank destruction badge in pricing.

That's why I considered a avalue of 800 euro. But that's not a problem.....would you prefer them for 600? OK ,so it worth 9150 but also such a tunic worth something more than 3K as the cuff title worth something more than 3500

Hi Francesco, if those things were on a dealer site by themselves it would be hard to sell them for 100 euro each. Without some iron clad provenance there is no way to prove they were even worn during the war or are original to the tunic.

                              1+ more then true....

And it will get a lot lot harder to sell them. The Militaria Bubble will not hold up this time, we are 2 Month into this and the real Effects only start to show now slowly. I wish it didn't, but when you look a bit for Signs....it is not looking that great. Start at the low End Crap House Mil321...usually they have 2 to 3 Top Auction Pages with Item for sale, now...they have 15 And some good Stuff, with very low Bids. I had the past 3 Weeks more Stuff i got offered from Collectors who usually not sale a Button then the hole last Year. To me very clear whats coming, will still take some time, but at the End even the most Hardcore "My Stuff is super rare and crazy Expensive" will get it. Will come back as it always did, this time it will just take a lot longer.......

IMO NOT the same tunic, most valid reasons have been given to which I fully subscribe.

I am suprised though, that nobody mentioned the two rank pips? They are clearly positioned different from whatever angle you view the tunic and I also believe they are of a different size and form.

I could even question the runes (not bullion wire on the original photo) but that is perhaps too much of a stretch....

Bear in mind, I am not discussing the original application of the insignia nore the rest of the provenance; only the alleged photo proof.
