Luftwaffe fighter oxygen mask Draeger

Hello,

Attached are some photos of my latest Luftwaffe fighter oxygen mask which I will soon be getting. It is in excellent condition and was in storage from WWII until 1990 when it was discovered with many other Luftwaffe items.

O2 masks all over the place..!

Have to check my references though, I haven't seen a hose with 2 seams that much..., but I can be wrong.., the majority though were one piece IMO.

Hello Jos,

You are right, I haven't noticed the seams. I fully trust the former owner and according to him thismasks was found in a Finnish Luftwaffe storage 17 years ago with many other Luftwaffe items.

Have you seen another mask before with two seams? I haven't seen this type of mask so far. The black ones I have seen (incl. the other one in my collection) have green straps and green/red fabric at the tip of the mask body (where the tube enters into the mask). The ones without fabric I have seen so far were usually green. This one is black (made by Dräger). Does anybody else have this type of mask to compare?

Checked my files and yes, there're hoses with seams, so nothing said sofar..
Later bombermasks I saw also have them.
