Now there is no mention of COA's or references to Kelly Hicks on his site.

The thing that makes this so bad is that Ken will not speak up.We all know in the past he was one of the first to jump right back at you with Info and proof on any item that might have been in question.He was also one of the first to help you with any helmet question and we all trusted him and took him at his word.As I said this does not look good for Ken.So I guess we as collectors have to do what we have always done when in doubt is look at the item as it is,not the story or the seller but the item.So now when a fellow collector says something about one the people we trust and beleive in we will listen and let the item do the talking not the person or their rep. etc.I know how some of you must feel now I felt the same way when Tom Shutt the big author and hat collector did me when I bought a SS officers hat from him that was FAKE.I really liked and trusted that guy his word back then was as good as GOLD .It does shake up the hobby and bring doubt when one of the real good guys goes bad(if this is the case).We all would expect this from Charlie Snyder or the likes but from Ken.It just makes no sense to ruin your great rep. like this.

I checked out the link and everything looks good to me. There are no prices so I don't think there is any problem with this site. What is your point? The SA helmet has been posted on the forum before with positive feedback. Cody Grayland bought this helmet from Ken a while back. Do you think he should asd for a refund? I would buy any of the helmets on his site if they were for sale. I think they are all real. Witch ones don't you like? Charly

I don't care about the past. It's what is current and I don't see anything bad on his site. I buy the helmet, I would buy a helmet from anybody who is a known faker as long as I think the helmet at hand is good. Not all are bad, that is where my long trained eye comes into play. Lets say all collector/ dealers are out to make a buck. They can sell some real helmets and I can tell witch ones they are. To say I won't ever buy anything from somebody because they got caught in the past means you don't have the years of hands on expereance that I am talking about. Ken will still sell off his site because the items are real. Charly

Foamspoon! the only crime here is a switched liner. Just think of the real crime out there in the world. The war killed millions and the People who did it is what we collect. The public hates the sale of anything Nazi Go and pay hundreds of dollars over current prices and ask to buy a hotdog with it. This hobby is insane. Stop and enjoy what you think is real and stop trying to tell everybody what they have is not. It's a sad day for this hobby. I think Kelly Hicks will be next.. Charly

If everything that is presented on this thread is true, than the only crime is not a switched liner. Personally, I am not going to kill anyone for a switched liner. I have a few helmets myself with collecter replaced liners that I bought as such.

I think most people would agree that the problem is the misrepresentation of the description and what appears to be an attempt of desception for personnel gain.

Charly, if the description stated that the liner was post war replaced (for what ever reason) and NOT a blaten attempt of desception, describing the helmet as "assembled during the transitory period before the full adoption of the M1940 specs." This thread is not getting over 24,000 views.
Can you not see the problem with that?? Again, I would like to hear Ken's side but as others have mentioned his silence is deafening.

This thread is awesome.

Each day this thread keeps growing, more responses, many more viewings. Yet after all this, there is/are people out there still trying to argue a point that actually misses the point.

There is a crooked dealer that refuses to respond, probably the best for him (what could he say), and the best for us (silence is perhaps the best explanation anyway), and this thread just won't quit. It only gets better and better.

This thread should be pinned, so future collectors are aware of this dealer. Also, I wonder if Ken will have the balls to show up at the SOS.
