Lovely. One of the cleanest examples I've seen, but please DO NOT post pictures of the inside or they will most likely not be rare that much longer.

Agreed. Not too many more interior pics or the fakes may appear. But congrats. As you are already aware, a very beautiful and extremely rare piece.

Yes, they WILL be faked as soon as it can be faked.
Just like SS candle documents, boxes, ...no one seems to have perfected the candle...probably no practice faking aged candles was ever needed before.

But paper, that is somthing fakers know and even amateurs can aspire to make forgeries to fool.

Really nice thing to see, is there a story? it would be interesting to know.

I am worried you will not find an easy way to ship this...
            Cost may be horrible,
packing looks serious as it appears somewhat fragile, maybe.

Someone will suggest cutting it up as an option to ship, but I dont like that idea .
There is no story, but will definitely research it once in my possession. Missed a similar wall panel a few years back depicting a group of marching HJ youth and wanted something like that ever since.
Will probably have it delivered to friends in Frankfurt and take it on the plane with me the next time I over there.

Need your opinion on this little rusty thing. Any potential there?

Good idea to carry the Wall Panel with you.
As for ironwork candleholders, I do not make a study of them as I find there is a huge potential for fakery and misrepresented modern items presented as TR cultural items.
I dont keep much intell on the shapes and types that were in use during TR era, as I am not in the market for what I see offered.

That being said, it is a pleasing shape and if it is cheap(cheap being the most important aspect when looking at such items), no problems in my mind
If I had to give you a ref : I suggest asking WAF member Vid's advice .

                Michael,

As visable Vid is not on board here any longer.

That candleholder might have a chance to be period but since it does not bear any typical ideological/political design elements which were used within the period and no stamps or date of manufacture the only chance would be to find this piece depicted in a period book or any other source.

There have been traditional pieces manufactured to preserve the old classical german techniques and working methods - which was also part of the ideology! - and there were typical period designs and outward appearances like wrought iron DHW products, pieces of the SS castle-smithy located at Wewelsburg and lateron at the Externsteine, pieces of handselected german masters in the period in Berlin or Munich as typical examples, there was one selected official state and party manufacturer located in Berlin - and there were numerous and mostly unknown regional masters providing the local market and demand with their own handmade pieces as well.

That should give you a little hint what the production of wrought iron pieces in the NS period was all about.

If you got further specific questions don´t hesitate to ask.

If my shown fine period cultural wooden box - depicting masterly carved Lebensrune, Doppelspirale and Totenrune and the dedication: "Aus unserer Sippe" - wouldn´t be period you wouldn´t behave continously like a 12 year old spoiled and jealous brat.

this item with all its bells and whitles seems a perfect candidate for a modern master carpenter to be hired by a dishonorable person to create as a fantasy piece.
With all those "carved Lebensrune, Doppelspirale and Totenrune and the dedication: "Aus unserer Sippe" as just a bit too many bells and whistles.
That is one criterion in the SS collecting world to worry somthing is a fake.

Hey it may be real ...but we need the hard evidence like you demand of other's wooden objects.

Seems rather like an adult stance to me.

Then be happy that my fine period cultural Sippen casket never made it´s way into your collection - and be sure it never will.

From what I can see: a cool and obviously very rare period piece.

                            So far,
                            I like it a lot.

do you have maker marks on bottom?
                            Please show some more photos

No markings whatsoever, the handle shows some more carving, see attached picture. I have no clue about the maker

Maybe it was used as a gift for newborns?

                                Nice.
Heart shapes on the side, we all know that symbol was important.

Newborns? dont know, but could be. Certainly not out of the question.
