Last for today. I'll have to see if I can dig up something else of interest in the next few weeks.

As the Nazis loved to commemorate anything with a badge or tinnie, I find it interesting that I've never seen nor heard of a tinnie for the event of the last trip of the dead in 1935. Anyone else ever seen anything that was produced for this event? Perhaps they considered this event to be so sacred that they didn't allow for anything to be made.

The Ehrentempels were designed to let the weather in due to their open roofs. A great photo Jon!

I wonder why? Could it perhaps be on purpose to allow god to look down directly on the fallen men ?

Jon, The Temples were designed so that the fallen would be outside and always on guard.

I think i came across a photo where Hitler was photographed somewhere towards the entrance of the building. it would be just awesome to stand and snap a shot where he once stood!

A separate thread of members in situ at places of historical interest would be a very interesting one?
I have some old B&W photos of me as a teenager at Berchtesgaden and in the cemetery at Landsberg....I'll see if I can find them (when I get back from hols!).
Meantime, a couple more....looking out from the FDH. Imagine ranks of LAH instead of cars!!
