        Might have seen it before I think but really don't care, it's so good it can be enjoyed again and again, so thank-you Ian!

        My observations - the footwear, the different shades of M40 'tropical' caps, one very tan coloured, excellent pic of the cammo used on the Kubelwagen. Love the Gelato sign in the background, somehow wouldn't have expected such normality at such a time. Finally, shorts in January guys? Well, maybe in Italy.

                i got an hour to myself to relax... home office with a child in a small apartment with no garden is.. tricky sometimes... so i made myself a big cup of irish lyons tea and have scanned some nice old war time color slides.. that really relaxes me

                        good morning everyone

                        I had a little time this morning to dig up a wonderful box of kodachrome color slides I have in my vaults showing the first days of the invasion of Okinawa 1945.



                        Here is the first scan.



                        Can anyone please tell me which beach this is in Okinawa ?
