Here is what I believe is a M44 that I found going through one of my boxes searching for some TDB photos for Lionel (708.V.G.D.). No breast or cap eagle present and it appears that he is wearing Polizei shoulder boards...post war?Attached Files

Thank you for the observations. I too found them a little stilted, but the other photos were a lot more relaxed, curious. I know it is off-topic, but here are some of the other shots with older uniform, they do seem less sombre, maybe they are just more relieved to be in captivity. I also note how heavily worn some of the belt buckles are.
