Just picked up another portrait of a POW wearing an M44 and winter camo trousers. Sorry no writing on the back but I get the feeling maybe late war capture possiby still in France or Germany.

You are right...also his shoulder boards as well. The Soldier in the middle is wearing an odd looking tunic & buttons or is it just me.

Yes it is an odd looking tunic and I am stumped as to what it is? the pocket flap button holes are located very high or almost in the middle of the flap with huge buttons? Rumanian?
pretty rare to see an M44 with NCO litzen on the collar.
