What a weird shot?; almost looks like some kind of post war Russian movie still...don't really now what to make of it...Although interesting, there seems to be a lot wrong in this picture. Were did you find it?

            Okay thx.
I never noticed this thread, judging by the other photos you posted and the reactions I read, I think it is a pity most of the images you have posted have by now been deleted...

Perhaps a refreshment would be in order .... nothings beats the original images IMO.

Just got this one. Although poor quality, IMO an interesting one. This officer belonged the 13.Pz.Div. Lionel.

Blurry or not Lionel that is a great photo of a DKiG wearer! You could perhaps clean it up a bit using the photoshop program? I have seen some amazing clean up jobs here on the waf.

                Thanks for shareing it!

In reference to post 115, does the NCO have numbered
                  shoulder loops ?

                  Regards,

Just picked up another portrait of a POW wearing an M44 and winter camo trousers. Sorry no writing on the back but I get the feeling maybe late war capture possiby still in France or Germany.

                        Kevin,

You are right...also his shoulder boards as well. The Soldier in the middle is wearing an odd looking tunic & buttons or is it just me.

Yes it is an odd looking tunic and I am stumped as to what it is? the pocket flap button holes are located very high or almost in the middle of the flap with huge buttons? Rumanian?

pretty rare to see an M44 with NCO litzen on the collar.

if there were they would be posted in this thread, somewhat rare tunic and even rarer to see in photos this late style M44 was.
