Yes, please excuse my use of American vernacular. What I meant to say was; Is It just me or does the beret seem a rather odd colour. Somewhat reminiscent of the re-topped RAC berets which were doing the rounds some time ago.

Maroon berets are notoriously hard to photograph out of natural light so as you suggest the odd colouration could be due to teh individuals camera, lighting etc.

Anyway, nice to have you on the forum, why don't you introduce yourself.

    Yours, Guy.

This is one of the biggest insults to intelligence I've ever seen.

Creative though, I give him credit for that.

And either given to him by the original owner:

obviously my reply soared too far over your head. it was tongue in cheek. the item mentioned is total garbage. if one was naive, one would give the seller the benefit of the doubt but in this case, I think not.

Well no it did not go straight over my head at all. The seller has a following, infact some champion his cause on another forum quite forcefully,so I thought you may have been one such follower,my apologies for that thought my friend.

what I meant to say was the seller might be naive in believing his wares were the real deal, but in this case it is the fact that the seller is playing on the ignorance of potential buyers. a shame really but unfortunately there are people out there who exploit the situation. no scruples ! years ago a dealer made the statement " if they cannot tell the difference between an original item and a fake, serves them right." he is stll at it, with the same shallow mentallity.

His feedback clearly shows he is buying many post-war berets.
