Lee, I agree. A post-war beret with a wartime label taken from a SD blouse, and not very nicely applied. The seller was banned from this forum, does the expression "barn find" ring a bell?

Yes, It is very strange the seller never mentioned the collar. The maker is rare too IMO.

It is certainly is a maker that is not often seen. I think the buyer got a nice smock,I would like to see the left breast to see if there was ever a wing on there. The GPR smock with the collar is a rare piece. Did anyone on here buy it???

EXTREMELY rare! I have only had one of these (and I live In Norwich) which actually did turn up locally. This Is the only other I have seen. I believe denhams had a tiny contract that didn't run for very long; they are far more well known for manufacturing windproofs. They only closed down In the 60's so I've been trying to locate people who worked there.

                    Yours, Guy.

                      Hi Ivan,
I just asked him. He said it used to belong to his uncle. He also said he thought the collar was just some war suplus so took it off to sell the smock !

Intersting observation, Guy. I can't remember seeing many smocks by this maker either. Note how they write AIR BORNE and not AIRBORNE. I guess it was not a word in common usage then.
