Nice original G&S, but shows clear signs of a previous re-paint.

Curious what your guys opinion is on this eBay auction: commando trousers

The knickerbocker style bottom reminds me of the post-war Belgium para trousers:

IMHO complete bollocks! I don't think they were ever factory produced, most likely unit modified as many you see in original pics have slight differences.

If its a new made, how many years have fake labels generally been on the market?

Do you have some pictures from a Belgium para trouser Marc? Some Canadian parts from 1st Canpara did wear British para trousers. I dont believe they did major ajustments to modify there trousers to look like there British counterparts. Although some did some heavy changes to there smocks.

                    Hi Jeroen,
I had these Belgians years ago....but don't think I have pictures anymore. I will have a look in my archives, I hope I still find something.
What is typical Belgian is the label inside the trousers. (and also british post war I think)
If I find more I let you know.

                    Take care,
                    Marc

According to the seller a fault occurred, I asked what it was. The seller replied "the transaction".

To me that sounds like the seller refused to complete the deal and relisted the helmet with a massive reserve.

Judging from the sellers other items I think this is a set made up and blancoed by a re-enactor, so why the high price?

                            Para Helmet

Shell and liner look good but what about the straps? Look odd to me.

Straps definately look strange, kind of look like they have been dyed but how can you dye a strap that should.. would of been black. Unless they are some very rare production run, I'd say they would have to be either fake or been played with.

Hi all this is my helmet up for auction.

The straps have not been dyed and they are original to helmet. Ade Stevenson has seen this helmet in perso. I can tell you Greg it has not been messed with. Another BMB helmet i have also has a brownish tinge as the dying was obviously not done well.

                                Many thanks,

                                Regards Garth
