              I give up.
I spoke out my worries about this when the thread started.
Either you guys should do it right and try to find more prove for your assumptions or just let it be.
I just can't take such lists serious anymore when out of the first three makers I'm looking at, 2 are wrong.
              You got SSM right, bravo.
The town AEM.A was located in is Annweiler not Annweil.
MN is completely wrong. Just do a forum search if you want to learn something.

I didn't go further into the list, how reliable could it be after such a bad start.

                No problem!

I can make a mistake in the name of the city, because I do not live in Germany.
Yes, I read your version at the beginning of the topic. At first I thought the correct version of Bernhard.
Only now I found this topic:

                http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=513771&page=5

Unfortunately, I did not find it before. Thank you for the research!

                  New research tool

                  My fellow collectors ,

After having read the last posts to this topic I think it´s time to present my new "research tool"...

It is the 1940 Edition of the

"Deutsches Reichs Adressbuch , of the Trade and the Industry"

It represents something equivalent to the "yellow pages" you will find today.
People were able to search and find suppliers and / or producers of anything that was available in the german reich back then..

So let us start looking for...hmm..let`s say Feldflaschen for example...

OK here we are...on the pages 12,70, and so on..we are supposed to find suppliers for Feldflaschen...

...here on this sample page we find the ads of different makers such as Rudolf Fissler of Idar Oberstein and some more ...
Some of you my fellow collectors might even be tempted to translate These in
their mind into their possible three letter maker marks...
chances are that we can see here makers such as ...
RFI , CFL ,FWBN , SM , OLHM or even ZPStZ...

here are two previously unknown or unnoticed advertisers for Feldflaschen...

Diemer&Fastenrath of Lüdenscheid could be the Producer of this D&FL marked
                      drinking cup...
and maybe Marsteller and Killmann of Kettwig were in Charge for this MKK marked canteen....

                        And here the ad of

MN that I think is not Müller /Nürnberg

Bernhard - thank you for the regular, interesting scans!
They are very helpful in "deciphering" manufacturers.
