If some of those firms are still in bussiness, you might contact them and ask what code they had during the war, so you might get a confirmation.

    Carles

PS. Some might not want to know anything of that period, so might not help.

Using the HRE rule another possibilty could be MNN . I do not know if
there are mess kits having this code.
      hello bernahrd

to answer this question, I can tell you that I have never seen such a code MNN on a mess kit or canteen
it is not part of my list
beginning by M, I have only MN and MKL.
somebody told me about the possible code MKK but no picture to prove it

            Hi unterscharr

From your posting I guess that you tried to identify some makers of
equipment from your collection by using Michael Heidlers book.

            Very good matches are :

            HWSD ,
            W.S.M,
            StW

Not sure about the S.S.L being the maker's mark of Sieper & Soehne either.
For CFL I did not find a possible candidate.

            Best regards

            Bernhard

              Hi guys

This thread is a good place to post some "confirmed" makers as well

Here a Heeres Mitteilung which has to to with replacing leather straps, anyway a few makers are being mentioned here... (some already known)

              1 ESB

5 CFL , C. Feldhaus, Lüdenscheid I'm pretty sure this is the one Bernard
