All items with "TSR" marking are really reproduction ?

          I have a spoon / fork marked TSR 42. Is it a really a fake ?

@Suimpftarn: can you show an item that is marked with "ALU" ? Are there any with this marking ?

@Euronymous: yes, common repro company for movies and re-enactment:

I do not have that. I would like to illustrate - we see advertising "Anton Laumayer Ulm", we see markings, but the canteen themselves (on WW2) nobody saw.

Ok, so the "ALU" code was just invented by you, assuming that "Anton Laumayer, Ulm" would be having this code ?

So we should delete this code from the list please, as there is no proof that it ever existed.

Yes this code should be deletet because
Anton Laumayer , Ulm did NOT produce These items.
                  He simply sold them !

This also the reason why we never ever saw a MMN canteen.
Max Müller Nürnberg was a Producer of leather items.
He did not make the items shown in his list.
                  He just sold them.

                  Here let´s have a look .......

In the foreword we find among other rules...

1.Each and every company has to be in the adressbook !

2.Each and every Company has to declare their main field of
                    busisnes

3.So that it can easily be found by the custumers...

And when we search for the Firma of Herr Laumayer , we will find it listed
as something like a hardware store "Eisenwarengroßhandlung"

That clearly proofs that he was a dealer - not a maker.

                      Best regards

Could you check if "Deutsche Metallwerke Neustadt a.d. Weinstraße" existed back then an what they produced?

                          Dmn?

Like I told you before, it is just a wild guess. I have absolutely no proof for it being DMN.
Would just be interested whats said about them in that book.

OK guys , unfortunately I do not have the Branchenbuch of the Rheinland Pfalz Region.
But I did find the aforementioned Company in bothe the Michael Heidler
                              Codebook .
The three letter code for this Company was "abc"

I also found two entries in the phonebook .
So we can say for sure that this Company did exist during the timeframe we are interrested in a n d that they were assigned "abc" as Fertigungscode for
                              whatever they made.

                              Hope that helps !

                                UPDATE:

I rechecked page 12 of the "Branchenbuch" for supplier of Feldflaschen and guess
                                what ....I found ....
In the " Ortsverzeichnis" there is a maker of Feldflaschen in "Neustadt an der Weinstrasse" listed.....
...and there is a certain firm "Deutsche Metallwerke Neustadt a.d.Weinstr."
offering their products on the same page....

So , from my point of view it is very likely that the company did make feldflaschen
                                and marked them accordingly.....
DMN ...would be the appropriate marking in my humble opinion...!
Quite interresting their trademark on their civilian products was "DEMETA"
as you can see from their ad .....
