This is the first show where I forgot to eat, did not have food any of the days but I did have two sweet teas and I think a coffee or two in three days, that all being a function of exhaustion.

Just to be clear, Spencer did not purchase this tunic direct from the vet, he paid 10,000

Those sandwiches are almost worth the trip, I’m cracking out the cheese board here and see if this story breaks. I like Spencer and all but how incompetant do you have to be. This is the type of thing you see all day on social media.

The original Price Paid to the Family Does not really matter and No one knows what He Paid. The Fact is the Helper made an honest mistake, the New buyer took Full 100% advantage of the situation And is being a Jagoff about it.

One of the first things I learned I learned in this hobby, "never give someone an education."

And what if the buyer purchased it thinking it was fake/humped up but thought there was $1800 worth of insignia on it?
I didn’t make the show this year but I know John.He is a very advanced collector and he (imho) knew what he was looking at. I’m surprised and disappointed he would take advantage of the situation
                  Cheers Steve

Having a lack of moral fiber is not criminal. Guy walks to a table and asks a price, helper does not know and makes a call, right?. Owner says 18.. Table helper obviously does not know what a SS tunic is and sells it to a guy who does know and he trots off with the tunic @ a 17000.00 discount. The fact that he is a scumbag is secondary and it’s the only argument as it’s not theft.

This is half assed and the only way it can happen is if someone is an idiot. You can’t make these mistakes in this hobby.

Yes, he paid 10k for the tunic! Who ever said 700 is full of it. It was a beautiful tunic, sucks some asshat shafted him on it, complete Dick IMO, regardless this buyer has no morals, he knew what it was and knew what the value was and shafted an honest dealer. Karma is a bitch and what goes around comes around, and he says he sold it for 2k, just covering his ass, what a BS lame story!

+1, the buyer took advantage of the situation, this rat-hole should be named.

Well, Owen, you already know most of us in the hobby are hypocrites...but at least we dont belueve in Santee Claus, like certain Irish folk I know.
Btw, it was a pleasure to meet you at the Show. I wanted to get a picture of you with our cat, but I didn't get time to come back over. My fiancee thinks your quite the ladies man, mate.

                            Regards- Frank

I talked with spencer that night! He was actually handling it a lot better than I would. It’s very unfortunate we have people like this in our hobby!
