      Hi,

      very interesting, never saw a "small" version.

      Was it a "local" print, maybe done by the Braunschweig SS school ?
      The school did a "postcard" which was included in the "Dich Ruft Die SS" booklet to enlist new volunteers.

      Courtesy of the hiscoll website (if i clearly remember).

          DTS you made a reference to the Mjölnir poster.

          For now, three variants of the Mjölnir posters are known :

          - the one available on a period picture, with a "normal" flag (and a complete swastika) - i don't know any picture of an existing copy today ;

          - the one available on period pictures but also available in various current collections (with a "standarte flag", partial swastika) ;

          - the "washed" version, similar to the previous one, but with many details missing (including the small swastika in the top of the right corner ; due to the bad quality of this version - clearly a hand repro of the original Mjölnir design -, it is commonly accepted that it may be a fake one.
          But i asked a big belgian collector recently who told me that he had this version from an old collector many many years ago, and it may be - just my guess - a version used in Flandern / Netherlands. The only proof may be a period picture with that famous "washed" version...
          Please note that the "washed" version should be from 1941/July 24, 1942, as Flandern and Netherlands had the same Ersatzkommando "Nordwest" at this time. Both addresses in Den Haag and Antwerpen are correct.

          Interesting, but what is many many years in a collection... As already mentioned, i will be convinced when period photo shows up. I've had one of the washed poster in my collection, but way of printing was totally not as all the other dutch posters i have in my collection, Also very srange, and i also mentioned before, almost all of the washed posters i;ve seenwere not folded (almost in newby state of mind). So i don't like them. Hope mistery will be solved one day...

            Hello Patrick,

            did your "washed" version also had the same "Ersatzkommando Nordwest" addresses at the bottom ?

            Something that is bothering me is that the SS-Hauptamt was not the kind of administration to "play" with pictures, artworks, or drawings copyrights. Just check the SS-Leithefte or other SS-Hauptamt propaganda documents : the listing of the copyright holders is sometimes amazingly long...

            I can't see the guys of the Ersatzkommando Nordwest "stealing" the artwork of a well known artist, and asking to a local artist to "redesign" (badly) the poster...

            See You

              Thanks Pieter. I guess that finally puts an end to that. Who is/was the dealer? I'm actually leaving for Europe on Friday and I'd love to stop by and thank him personally for making such wonderful copies.

              Surely a dealer whose copies have given such pleasure to so many collectors need not be protected. He should be celebrated for his excellent work.

                Ive recently returned my one to Weitze, but as of today it has sat in customs for over 5 weeks and the most helpful staff at Weitze claim that they do not have the means to contact customs about the package....

                When you want to buy something from Helmut Weitze they will bend over backwards for you, but when you are returning a 'FAKE' that you purchased from them then they go to ground and do nothing....

                These fakes are widespread, so I gather quite a few were made... All the top big-name dealers (cough) have had them...

                    Hi,

                    finally i was able to get this famous norvegian booklet... This is not the rarest one, but the cover seemed to be also available in poster (?).

                    "Felles Front Mot Bolsjevismen" ("All together against bolshevism").

                        That's great Vince.

                        I believe a poster was done from this artwork but maybe one of our Norwegian members can confirm this?
