    a real pity that most of these great books to read up are in german (not surprising). but that makes us not proficient in german real difficult to read and understand such great books.

        If you would like to read more in the English language about the subject you might be able to find "Blood and Soil, Walter Darre & Hitler's Green Party".
        It was written by Anna Bramwell and published by The Kensal Press in 1985. ISBN 0-946041-33-4.

          A good tip Derek. Not such an easy book to locate however. The only copy Amazon has listed is almost $500 USD ...

            Not hard to find...I just walk into my own private obsessional Bibliothek/library in the next room.

            Seriously, though no historian's bio or survey of these authors will necessarily have much of straight translations from old nazi screeds. Any scholar worth their credentials has only bits and pieces of translated sentences and then pages of placing it in the context of the historian's arguements.

            And even if you learn German, that is no guarantee you will grasp the obsolete Nazi-Deutsch words . Nor will you necessarily be able to figure out those inscrutible Alt-Schriften Fraktur letter type.

            The author Dr. Anna Bramwell has been greatly chastised in historical journals and in intellectual Anti-Fas and far-left groups for seeming to show Darre in a positive light and down-play his anti-Semitism.

            And I tend to agree with their points but also found the willingness to see Darre's world through his own eye's to be a refreshing change.

                    Hi folks! I want to add to this brilliant thread some examples of SS-heraldry. First one is the crest of Richard Walther Darre, in so to say runic style, and the other is more traditional crest of Oswald Pohl by Karl Diebitsch.

                            That´s right - Darré, the head of Reichsnährstand and DHW.

                            One can see the original colored draft of it in the SS exhibition at Wewelsburg castle.
