I doubt that! How can it sell w/o a price being quoted?

Well..........I meant amongst the people here who know the price.

Tom (tgn) posted these photos on the other SS beret thread and I thought they should be here too since there is so much material already on this particular subject. I assume it is not Tom's, or he probably would have said so. The background has been obscured to protect the innocent. Just joking of course, I am just thankful that whoever owns it agreed to share the photos with us...THANKS! I am sure they are very happy with it. Enjoy...

                  Hi Tom,

Could you check on the size of the beret? It would seem to be a rather small since the insignia looks so big by comparison to the overall size. It doesn't affect the rarity of course, but only for perspective when comparing it to any other photographed berets, old or recent photos. many thanks,

                  Richard

Here is a unique use for an SS beret skull. Nick G posted this photo of a Russian Cossack. Image credit Cossacks book by Schuster & Tiede. I thought it's unusual use by foreign troops was worth posting on this thread.

These eagles are different (IMO) What is unique, they were both sewn by the same individual.

Excellent detective work Steve. That takes some long hard staring at those photos. Here is another photo scanned from a hard copy. It looks like the same beret as in the photo on the left to me, except for some tiny differences that may just be the camera difference. Notice the nose defect on the skull as in post # 140. What say you?

I wanted to update this thread with the latest eagle photo that has been on a website for some time, notice the off center swastika.

Update with the latest SS beret to grace the SOS.
