I know what you're trying to say. Instead of VVVVV's I see MMMMM's on top of each other (it works better for my brain to comprehend the pattern).
I just edited my last comment of this post because didn't make any sense.Your way of explanation is better and I agree with it.Last edited by TONY Q.W.; 10-28-2006, 06:15 PM.

"Five pieces of SS clothing, all showing the same area of the 'dot pattern' (as the fabric posted in this thread), yet exhibiting a variation of that geometric pattern on each example. The point is to illustrate that the same area of SS 'pea camouflage' can have some noticeable 'variations' if a person is trying to compare EXACT detailed specifics from one piece of material to another. Any comment as to their originality is appreciated. "

hbt
That hbt fabric sample is original as per the weave xray method ~ when the hbt sample is looked via light one can see the V 's that are somewhat reinforced and they are visible in strong light.
Made at least woven by a factory that
specialized in large quantity cotton weaving of jeans like fabric and its variations, and not just by a factory that makes canvas goods for naval industry and jumps into custom hbt. The only problem that is the real thickness that would have to be measured and compared with an original hbt army tunic that was of the thinner fabric type.
I have surviving samples of that thinner type of hbt-which was more oriented for africa campaign. Yes ordinary grey hbt, but much much thinner and having few more weaves at each V side. By the way that hbt was issued and or ordered by the SS, so the presence of the sleeve eagle would mean possibly that the eagle is original as well.
